13 Jul 2017 Magstatt-le-Bas

Magstatt-le-Bas is a commune in the Haut-Rhin department in Alsace in north-eastern France. The community has houses and structures dating back to AD 1600. This was an old farming community with farm houses.
To preserve these historical structures, some people try to buy these houses and renovate them personally to keep them from breaking down.
Living in this community is Bea and Christorpe. A very fine and lovely couple. They are also retired Pastors and own an old house from 1602. Previous Architektur change to the house was around 1800. They've done well to keep all artifacts and structures of the house to their original design.
Christorpe had a collection of organ from the 18th and 1900. One was made around, 1936 and the other 1880. He search and bought all online with a collection of old gospel musical piano inscription and books. Mr. Petitjean is said to have helped in acquiring some of the musical scores.
We had a wonderful lunch and chated alot during this. From Religion to politics to culture. Christope and Florince were such wonderful hosts.
After the meal we had a nice walk around the town. First we had a detour at an old church, from 1880 which an old, yet still working organ installed in 1890.
Land scape at  Magstatt-le-Bas quiet different from that of Arisdorf, and old historic places like castles and ponds were also located.
It was a lovely time with Bae and Christope at France.
