It was quite a great experience to be back to Haeusler. And quite releasing to see these old faces. Should i say, wonderful teachers.
At about 14:00, we arrived at Duggingen. Mr. Camille Haeusler took time to walk us through the factory once more, explaing and showing us some of the current works at hand.
Before that, we met some of the good people who help me two years ago to study;
We were lucky enough to see a newly completed high pricision metal bending matchine for an airplane company.
The machine was completed and the respective client for this machine was present for the machine demonstration. Mr. Camel also made a demostration to us, with access to the bending part, monitoring and control panel and the Power distribution and safty Cabinet.
Such a fruitful afternoon this was. He also took as through a small 4 roller bending machine for demostrarion to clients. A sample simulation was made on this machine with experimental parameters of which the program performed wonderfully. He also explained that, the client has the ability to test the idea in mind before bend if possible acording to the simulation.
We also explored the welding, lathe machine and metal fabrication sections.
We had a nice coffee drink afterwards, nice presents from Mr. Camille.
From Haeusler, we went for a detour at the Goetheanum School of Spiritual Science. This was roughly 6.3km from Haeusler via the Autobahn route.
The Goetheanum, located in Dornach (near Basel), Switzerland, is the world center for the anthroposophical movement. The building was designed by Rudolf Steiner and named after Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.[1] We library, a bookstore, and administrative spaces for the Anthroposophical Society; neighboring buildings house the Society's research and educational facilities. Conferences focusing on themes of general interest or directed toward teachers, farmers, doctors, therapists, and other professionals are held at the center throughout the year.
This was my first encounter with the Anthroposophical movement and ideas and i really want to read and research into the ideologies of this movement. This new building design am told, was built recently after the distraction of the previous by fire. Well they all have one thing in common, "irregular figures". Niether windows nor doors are made to have a perfect square shape, but are all irregular as the whole building design. I wait for responds from my learnered achitect friend Frank Gyamfi of Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology about his view upon this whole philosophy and its relation or maybe impact in the world of architechture.
Further more, we drove away from irregular buidings to 'regular shaped by nature' forest of the lovely country side. The air, beautiful forest all proclaimed a perfect achitecture from a supreme handsome one.
Along this route revived many childhood stories from our host, some funny, some inspiring and soo touching. Stories of the past led us to an old Resturant in this country side. Another lunch break this was. Splendid and wonderful sight of the country side was our view as we sat under a canopy of trees.
Afterwards, we drove through Frankardorf, and made a detour at Mrs Ruth's place. Also a friend of Mrs. Petitjean.
We arrived home around 20:00
